A Circle of Life
Sunday morning coffee - at last we sit outside and enjoy sunshine and warmth.
The daffodils are in formation ready to burst at any moment.
But it wasn't exactly a perfect day of all. One of the roosters went to the "spa" compliments of Brother, who preferred not to be photographed and blogged about. This handsome prideful bird, of whom I have no "before" picture, is now rather exposed and residing the the freezer.
Perhaps the chicken coop drama will now lessen with one less rooster. Over the winter there were at one time four roosters - yes, "oh my." One was purchased and now lives south of town and another - the original Frederick - has found himself at his home of origin where he is now the sole rooster (due to the demise of his predecessor) and is busy "free ranging." I do believe the new ratio of one rooster to five hens will work out much more quietly.
On a more lively note, the bikes are ready to roll!
