Where did the day go!
Today was the return to normality after the Christmas and New Years breaks.
Wow.
I did pause to appreciate the sound of the snow/ice as I walked across the driveway. The temperatures are dropping; it is January.
Today in Oswald I underlined "The people who are flippant and disrespectful in their approach to God are those who have never been introduced to Jesus."
*pause*
*ponder*
Where am I really in my introduction to Jesus...
*pause*
*ponder*
Talk radio is the usual commute companion, but tonight on the drive home I was visited by the song Same Power. The line "the same power that rose Christ from the grave" was the hook. It's a idea/question that was stirred by Francis Chan's book Forgotten God several years ago.
Oswald and Same Power -- opposing views, but not opposing realities. There can be only one reality (logically speaking). Why would anyone be inclined to the "flippant" - except that "He's wild, you know. Not like a tame lion."
Such the thoughts after a long day when quiet and rest are calling while the north wind blows and the kitty cat purrs.
